Reflexology workshop — how to support a child’s relaxation and calm

Children’s and young people’s everyday lives can be full of tension, strong emotions and stimuli that are not always easy to manage. We therefore invite foster and adoptive families to a special, practical workshop on relaxation using reflexology techniques.

During the session, led by a certified reflexologist, participants will learn simple techniques that can help children and young people calm down, relax and develop a sense of peace. The workshop will be primarily practical: participants will learn about the methods and practise them themselves.

Safety will also be an important part of the session. Participants will learn when not to use the techniques, what the contraindications are, and what to keep in mind so they can use them responsibly and attentively to the child’s needs.

The workshop is intended for foster and adoptive families and people running family children’s homes who want to add gentle ways of supporting children and young people with relaxation and tension regulation to their everyday “toolkit”.

Wichtig — der Workshop ist praxisorientiert

Jede teilnehmende Eltern- oder Betreuungsperson should attend together with the child, z którym będzie wykonywał prezentowane ćwiczenia pod kierunkiem prowadzącej. Dzięki temu uczestnicy będą mogli od razu przećwiczyć poznawane techniki w praktyce.

Before the session, the parent or carer must complete a declaration concerning contraindications to reflexology for the child. This is intended to ensure participants’ safety and allow the facilitator to assess whether the exercises can be performed with that child during the workshop.

Please take the child’s current state of health into account in advance. Jeśli dziecko, z którym planowany był udział w zajęciach, zachoruje, a rodzic lub opiekun nie będzie miał możliwości przyjścia z innym dzieckiem pozostającym pod jego opieką, prosimy o poinformowanie Fundacji o rezygnacji z udziału.
