“Open Hearts for Ukraine” project

Project „Otwarte Serca dla Ukrainy” Fundacji Dla Dobra Dzieci. Project jest realizowany z funduszy Fundacji Edukacja dla Demokracji. „Project współfinansowany ze środków
Polsko-Amerykańskiej Fundacji Wolności w ramach programu I supporty Ukrainę, realizowanego przez
Fundację Edukacja dla Demokracji.”
Through the project, priority support will be provided to children and adults who are refugees from Ukraine, Polish children in various forms of foster care, and the biological children of foster carers living in Tarnów County.

The project is primarily intended for:

Children aged 7–15:

• Living in collective accommodation centres in Tarnów County.
• In various forms of foster care (established in Ukraine, Poland or another country).
• Other children of Ukrainian refugees living in Tarnów County.
• Other Polish children 
• In various forms of foster care in Tarnów County.
• Biological children of foster carers.

Adults:

• Living in collective accommodation centres (priority).
• Next, those living in private homes and flats in Tarnów County.

1. Social-skills training (TUS)

Social-skills training (TUS):
Groups:

• grupa dla maksymalnie 8 dzieci w wieku 7-9 lat (grupa młodsza).
• grupa dla maksymalnie 8 dzieci w wieku 10-13 lat (grupa starsza).

Topics:

• Verbal and non-verbal communication.
• Empathy and empathetic communication.
• Conflict resolution.
• Cooperation and teamwork.
• Self-control and emotional management.
• Assertiveness.
• Building friendships.
• Coping with difficulties and setbacks.
• Building self-confidence and self-esteem.

Ukrainian traditions, culture and literature classes

Target groups: 30 dzieci w wieku 7-15 lat, podzielone na dwie grupy wiekowe.

Topics:

• Culture and art: Tradycje ludowe, sztuka ludowa, architektura, muzyka, taniec.
• Ukrainian literature: Klasycy i współcześni pisarze, analiza tekstów literackich.
• Folklore and traditions: Legendy, bajki, pieśni ludowe, tradycyjne święta.
• Ukrainian language: Alfabet, czytanie w języku ukraińskim.
• Art history: Tradycyjna i współczesna sztuka ukraińska.
• Culinary arts: Tradycyjne ukraińskie potrawy i ich przygotowanie.
• Mythology and beliefs: Mitologia słowiańska i ukraińska.
• Historical images and iconography: Analiza ikon, fresków i obrazów historycznych.
• Contemporary culture and society: Codzienne życie, obyczaje, wydarzenia społeczne i polityczne.

Cognitive-skills development training

Target groups: 16 dzieci w wieku 7-15 lat, podzielone na dwie grupy wiekowe (10-15, 7-9.

Topics:

• Concentration and attention.
• Memory and memorisation.
• Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Communication and cooperation.
• Creative problem-solving.
• Discovery and experimentation.

Adults can also attend classes called: Relaxation and therapeutic training with psychological support.
