Parenting Competence Assessment

(dla rodziców biologicznych, zastępczych i adopcyjnych)

Parenting is a process — especially when raising a child who has experienced trauma, neglect or disrupted attachment.
A parenting competence assessment is not a judgement or an “exam in being a parent”. It is a support tool, that helps clarify a family’s strengths, difficulties and actual needs.

W Fundacji Dla Dobra Dzieci prowadzimy diagnozę w sposób empathetic, thorough and free from stigma, with full respect for the carers’ circumstances.

When can a parenting competence assessment help?

An assessment may be helpful, for example, when:

the family is going through an adoption or foster-care process,
carers are facing parenting difficulties,
the child displays challenging or trauma-related behaviour,
support is needed to build relationships and attachment,
an opinion is needed for an institution (e.g. PCPR, MOPS, a court or school).

Jak wygląda proces diagnozy?

Proces diagnozy kompetencji rodzicielskich obejmuje:

szczegółowy an interview with a parent/carer,
analizę funkcjonowania rodziny i relacji z dzieckiem,
ocenę zasobów wychowawczych i emocjonalnych,
identyfikację obszarów wymagających wsparcia,
pisemną opinię diagnostyczną wraz z rekomendacjami.

W razie potrzeby diagnoza może być poszerzona o obserwację interakcji rodzic–dziecko lub konsultacje dodatkowe.

pomaga w rozmowach z instytucjami,

Naszym celem nie jest ocena, ale realne wsparcie rodziców i opiekunów – zawsze z myślą o dobru dziecka.
